Our Mission
To share God’s love, comfort, encouragement, and Gospel message with the Class of 1974 classmates, wives, and widows through peer-to-peer relationships.
Objectives & Goals
- Support classmates, their families and widows with intercessory prayer.
- Support and encourage the Class Prayer Chain members in their pursuit of holiness (Leviticus 11:44, 19:2, 1 Peter 1:13-15).
- Provide prayer support for the Class of 2024, our 50-Year Affiliate Class, and encourage them to establish and maintain a similar prayer ministry.
- Increase the number of classmates participating in this class-focused ministry and encourage all classmates to sign up for the Daily Prayer Email.
- Inspire and equip one another to share the love of God and the Good News of Jesus Christ with as many classmates as possible.
How We Pray
Using Protestant and Catholic prayer traditions, one member of the prayer chain writes a daily prayer, for a period of one week, and distributes it via email to all of the prayer chain members. This written short devotional and prayer is a reminder to the others to pray for our classmates and their families.
In each daily prayer we recall those who have asked for prayer support. We pray for those still serving the nation, for those enduring physical problems, for those who have special work or ministry needs, and for those classmates or their family members who are mourning a loss of a loved one.
